I believe they are just regular aluminum oxide guides but they do the job. The cork is decent with some filler. The spinmatic rod is also not as whippy as the presso which i think adds to the sensitivity. All in all a decent rod.

These rods are great for casting out lightweight baits that trout crappie and other panfish can t resist. I was scared daiwa spinmatic rods will be poor because for its price 44 99.
