Weight doesn t matter a lot you can use 65 lb 80 lb or 110 lb though the heavier the cardstock the sturdier it will be.
If you are using a 12 inch by 24 inch cutting mat then the largest you can cut is 11 5 inches by 23 5 inches.

You can rotate it by selecting the design and then grabbing the green circle at the top of the design and pulling it 90 degrees.
